Management Update:
Bear Sightings
This is the time for bear sightings in our area and apparently someone spotted a bear near Trotters Point Ln. Be alert: if you have bird feeders in your backyard, bears are attracted to them. We suggested not filling your bird feeders with food to avoid any kind of contact with a bear.
Facilities Updates:
Vacancy
The Facilities Committee is looking to fill a vacancy in its membership. The committee meets at 6:30 pm in the Tavern Room of the clubhouse on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. If you might be interested in joining the committee and would like more information, please contact Ed Wagner or Ed McManus
Broken Benches
Members of the Facilities Committee have completed the repair of all 5 benches within the community. The repairs included installation of level concrete pavers to provide a stable base for supporting the bench along with replacement of the broken back sections. The committee successfully negotiated with the manufacturer to replace the broken back sections at no cost, which saved the HOA between $1,500 to $2,000. The bench originally located in the circle on Trotters Point Dr. has been moved to the Regency Pond just across Long Ridge Drive from the clubhouse
YouTube TV Pilot
The pilot program using YouTube TV ended on July 15, 2026. The Facilities Committee will decide whether to recommend to the Board of Directors to switch from Verizon to YouTube TV for all of the clubhouse TVs
Facilities Committee Meetings
The Facilities Committee will not meet in August. The Committee’s next meeting will be in the Tavern Room at 6:30 pm on September 9, 2026
Treadmills
Our fitness equipment maintenance contractor will be replacing the belts on all three treadmills. The original belts, which are over 8 years old, have shown significant wear, which puts additional strain on the electric motors that power them. We will notify the community once we have a schedule for doing this replacement work.
